2nd Place in the European City Award
We are very pleased that the video about the “Ariadne” initiative—produced by public vision on behalf of the City of Düsseldorf—helped the initiative win second place at the 2026 Eurocities Awards. This second-place finish was achieved in the category for combating gender-specific poverty risks. The project, which the city developed in collaboration with Diakonie Düsseldorf, brings together various support services for homeless women under one roof. These include a 24/7 emergency shelter exclusively for women, the specialized “Kleine Ariadne” (“Small Ariadne”) shelter for mothers with children, and the low-threshold “Café Ariadne,” a safe space offering counseling, health care, and support services.
The awards ceremony took place during the Eurocities Annual Conference in Utrecht.

Today, we agreed to a wide-ranging collaboration with Maria Kümpel, an experienced business journalist.
The experienced TV writer, who has been working on business magazine segments and documentaries for WDR and ZDF for 16 years (Markt, Plusminus, Die Story), and public vision plan to join forces and collaborate closely on the development and production of topics and formats.
This partnership brings together the best of both worlds—Maria’s expertise in content and her knack for identifying compelling and relevant topics from the worlds of business and consumers, combined with public vision’s extensive experience in TV production.
Maria and we have already gained experience working on joint projects as part of our work as an ENG service provider for WDR, and Maria values the collaboration with public vision because of the “high-quality results and the friendly interactions with the staff. That’s the best combination you can have,” she says.

The spectacular and thrilling Galileo mini-series about the Federal Police’s special unit dedicated to combating terrorism and serious and violent crime. The series was filmed exclusively by our camera team, featuring cinematographer Julien Prause and assistants Klemens Duffe and Matthias Wolkowski. Filming this series was a truly challenging experience for our team as well!

Live Stream: North Rhine-Westphalia State Press Conference
Our livestream from the state press conference held the day before the federal-state conference. Among other things, Minister President Wüst comments on the issue of how costs for the “Investment Booster” will be divided among the states, municipalities, and the federal government.
WDR Westart
We haven’t seen that before either. Two segments filmed by one of our teams—with Julien Prause behind the camera—made it onto the May 31 edition of *Westart*. Two segments that are really worth watching—the first is about Juan S. Guse’s new book with the lovely title “A Thousand Times as Much Money as Now,” which is about crypto millionaires who, despite their wealth, continue to live simple lives and work—in one case, even for minimum wage.
The second article about the “Blaues Rauschen” (“Blue Noise”)festival, an event in the Ruhr region that sees itself as an intersection between “human and machine, reality and fiction, sound and silence,” and which certainly provides a platform for fascinating experiments in sound and technology.

Güde – die Messer
From Hand to Hand – Güde die Messer. That’s the tagline we developed for Franz Güde GmbH, the long-established Solingen-based knife manufacturer, and turned into a high-quality promotional video that appears on both Güde’s website www.guede-solingen.de as well as on social media. On YouTube alone, the German and English versions combined have already garnered over 30,000 views after just one month online.

The film explores a spectrum ranging from the concept of beauty in nature to the concept of perfection in the knife as a tool. The journey begins with an almost evolutionary development rooted in nature, proceeds through the senses, and culminates in the abstraction of the tool—which, through craftsmanship and constant refinement by human hands, achieves perfection in both form and function.

2024 NRW Animal Welfare Award
Last week, the 2024 North Rhine-Westphalia Animal Welfare Awards were presented at the Ministry of Agriculture in Düsseldorf by State Animal Welfare Commissioner Gerlinde von Dehn. We produced the videos in which the award winners introduced themselves. The result are five very personal and compelling portraits of special organizations and individuals.

Behind the Scenes of the Netflix Series “The Signal”
It’s finally out—the Behind the Scenes of the Netflix Series “The Signal”. The “making of” footage was shot by our colleague Lukas Herbrand, who also handled post-production. Neslihan Feßler served as the editorial supervisor on behalf of Netflix. Highlights of the behind-the-scenes feature are undoubtedly the space scenes, which were filmed in a replica of the ISS at Bavaria Studios and at Hyperbowl in the Penzinger Studios.

NRW Civic Engagement Award: February's Recipient
It was announced today: The “February Initiative” award, presented as part of the NRW Initiative Award, went to the Gut!Branderhof project in Aachen-Burtscheid. We produced the accompanying film on behalf of the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia. A wonderful project for a livable neighborhood. Coming soon to new spaces at the completely renovated Gut Branderhof.
State Legislature Visitor Film Now Also Available in 16:9
We have now also produced the panoramic film for the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament in 16:9. The original version of the film was designed for the visitor center’s 240° panoramic screen. It was a great pleasure for us to see how well it works in the 16:9 version as well. This version was created to offer an alternative to the screening on the panoramic screen, which measures 28.2 m x 4.7 m. At the visitor center, the film has been viewed by approximately 60,000 visitors to the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament, and now it will be accessible to even more people.
HR Special Broadcast “Climate, Costs, and the Future”
This movie will air on HR TV on December 20. The magazine *Mex* featured a special segment on the topic “Climate, Costs, and the Future.” The images and drone footage from the thyssenkrupp steel mill in Duisburg were provided by our camera team, with Lukas Herbrand behind the camera and Gino Höllering as his assistant. These are impressive images from the heart of a long-established industry that is exploring new paths.

COOKING WITH NENO BELAN
Neno Belan is a star of the music scene in his native Croatia. It is a great pleasure for me that we can introduce him here today, in the video we produced, as the chef at the outdoor kitchen overlooking Kvarner Bay. Neno describes himself as a man of the sea. Born in Split and now living in Rijeka, he certainly has close ties to the Croatian Adriatic coast. That explains his choice of recipe for this video: Adriatic squid, followed by a musical dessert—an unplugged version of his hit “Ulicama Grada” (“Through the Streets of the City”).
PANORAMIC FILM FOR THE STATE PARLIAMENT OF NORTH RHINE-WESTPHALIA
We produced the panoramic film for the 240° screen at the Landtag Forum NRW.
With the completion of the English-language version and a version featuring a sign language interpreter, our major project for the NRW State Parliament Forum comes to a close after a year of production.
The project was incredibly exciting and, due to the technical requirements, also challenging. The panoramic screen for projecting the visitor film for the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament is 4.7 meters high and an impressive 28.2 meters wide. To display content on this screen, video footage had to be produced at a resolution of 10,560 x 1,820 pixels. On top of that, the entire production featured 3D audio for 47 available output channels. These technical specifications ensure an impressive visual and auditory experience. Even as the filmmakers, we were repeatedly blown away during the production-related screenings in the forum. For the audio, we had the perfect production partner in DELTA Soundworks.
The film is viewed annually by approximately 170,000 visitors to the state parliament. In 9 minutes and 30 seconds, it showcases various aspects of North Rhine-Westphalia and clearly explains the state’s political system. This production would not have been possible without the wonderful cooperation and support of the state parliament’s visitor services department. Thank you very much!
